I am sure most of you are as tired with the wind as I am. The recent weather has been pushing us farther and farther behind. Mainly on the burning process of natives and a few very important fertilizer applications on the course. On the burning note, we only have a few weeks at best to finish up any burning we are going to do, but we also need some rain and the wind to stop blowing to get the permission needed to burn. We will wait and see what the weather does before we just have to end up mowing everything.
We finished up aerification this Tues on the course, that might have been the worst 2 days of wind? We literally had sand blowing off of the greens will we tried filling up the holes. If we get some calmer days, we will be able to speed the healing process if and when we are able to get our greens fertilizer out. We pulled a 6 inch x 1/2" diameter hole, so the time needed to cover up those holes is not too bad and you all will be putting on the greens in better shape soon.
Since Feb. we literally have had 2 days with minimal wind? Its something I was unprepared to experience and deal with.
